Unfortunate that this may have been the cause of it all: Blind Obedience to Authority.

I miss her.

But she has decided that I am not worth a 2nd chance.  So I have no choice but to move forward and live my life.

A wise 16-year-old Will Smith once determined that his girlfriend cheated on him because he wasn’t good enough.  He subsequently made it his lifelong goal to “never be not good enough ever again.”  Sounds good to me.
